SCHOOL HISTORY
Capacity Building Nursery and Primary school (Mother Teresa of Calcutta Memorial Schools) is owned by the Registered Trustees of Capacity Building Trust Fund Tanzania. This is a body corporate with a Certificate of Incorporation No. 3392 issued on 11th April 2008. Its registered office is at Chaboko – Kisiwani, Vijibweni – Kigamboni Dar es salaam.
The school started on 17Th January, 2011 with five ( 5) pupils and two (2) teachers namely; Mr. Dedan Danford, the Head teacher and M/s Zaina Shangai, the Assistant Headteacher in the unfinished building with four (4) classrooms and three (3) toilets. The two teachers worked under the school Manager Mr. Adamson H. Sinka. It was registered as English Medium on 11Th December, 2014 after fulfilling requirements with Registration Number DS. 03/7/EA.050, for nursery school and Registration Number DS.03/7/50 for primary school. In 2019 the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology issued a single new Registration Number EM 15956 for both nursery and primary.
The school has now above 500 pupils, 23 teachers and 20 non- teaching staff. The growth of the school is not only noticed in the increase of number of pupils, teachers and non-teaching staff but also in the school buildings which accommodate all Nursery pupils, stream A and B for class I to class VII, modern toilets for pupils and staff offices and stores. There are also facilities of drilled clean water, electricity and school buses.
